Initial set up was difficult

Understand it's architecture and how it interacts with mobile devices. Follow official document for installation and set up for both android & iOS.

Appium stands out from other testing tools primarily for its flexibility and cross-platform support. Unlike many tools that are platform-specific, Appium allows testing across iOS, Android, and even Windows apps using a single codebase, making it highly efficient for teams working across multiple platforms. Additionally, Appium supports multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) and doesn't require modifying the app’s source code, enabling true black-box testing and ease of integration into CI/CD pipelines.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of Appium is its cross-platform capability, allowing tests to be written once and run on both iOS and Android. This saves significant time and effort, especially for teams managing apps on multiple platforms, and makes it easy to integrate into continuous integration workflows.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I don't have any dislikes.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

For anyone considering Appium, I'd recommend having a solid understanding of mobile automation basics, as well as familiarity with desired capabilities for configuring test environments across iOS and Android. Setting up a reliable Appium environment can be complex, so ensure you have the required dependencies and emulators configured. Lastly, leverage Appium Inspector to make test script creation easier, and consider integrating Appium into a CI/CD pipeline to streamline automated testing for regular deployments.
