For IT, this means configuring role-based access control (RBAC) for clinicians, nurses, and administrative staff without compromising security. Setting up specific permissions for lab technicians to access only the data they need was straightforward and ensured compliance with regulations like HIPAA. It's also a lifesaver when rolling out changes or updates across the network, thanks to its robust version control.

What do you dislike most about this product?

One challenge has been the steep system requirements. Epic can be resource-intensive, demanding high-performing servers and a significant amount of storage

If you’re in healthcare IT and considering a robust EHR system, Epic should be on your shortlist. While it’s not light on resource demands, the benefits far outweigh the challenges.
