What differentiates MedHost Patient Management from other similar products?
Many of its modules (EDIS, Perioperative/PIMS, Physician Experience, etc.) are designed with substantial input from clinicians — physicians, nurses, anesthesiologists. This helps its workflows align more closely with how clinical staff actually work, reducing unnecessary clicks or confusing steps. The Physician Experience includes a streamlined Order Management component intended to make ordering, charting, notes easier and more intuitive.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect of MedHost Patient Management is how efficiently it supports clinical workflows — especially patient tracking, documentation, and access to real-time data across departments. It helps save time and improves coordination during patient care.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The interface feels a bit outdated and could be more intuitive. A cleaner, more modern layout would make it easier to navigate and locate patient information quickly.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend MedHost Patient Management to healthcare organizations looking for a reliable, integrated system for managing patient information and hospital workflows. However, it’s important to plan adequate staff training to ensure users become comfortable with the interface and navigation. The system is robust and performs well for hospitals with moderate to high patient volumes.
