What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?

I trust this platform with our most critical workloads. We’ve hosted dev, test, and prod environments on it with zero problems effectively. The auto-scaling feature has helped us manage unsteady traffic with ease. It is truly the foundation of our cloud infrastructure.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I use this for everything from microservices to inherited apps. I like its simplicity in resizing instances whenever needed. The Reserved Instances feature is great for long-term planning. We’ve never faced a major issue using it.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It took us some time to get used to this remarkable platform, but once we did, we have never looked back.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It is really a good place to learn when you are starting out with cloud infrastructure, with its real visibility and flexibility. And if you are a pro, then know for sure that opting for this platform would be your greatest choice.

What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?

The pricing templates. Offers spot instances for workloads that may be short lived. Offers different pricing options that help suits every workload scenario. Gives I think the ease of access is very simplified

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The various ways of accessing an instance. I used SSM for my production workloads which allows my ansible to still carry out configurations on the instance

What do you dislike most about this product?

For heavy intensive workload, the pricing is a bit higher

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

That whatever software product they plan on hosting, EC2 gives them the flexibility and it's one of the best ways to host an application.

What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?

I appreciate the flexibility it offers in choosing instance types based on workload needs that certainly varies based on clients choice and their environment. I can scale my infrastructure easily, both vertically and horizontally, without worrying about hardware constraints. The integration with other AWS services like S3, IAM, and RDS streamlines my workflows. Its pay-as-you-go pricing model helps me control costs effectively. Overall, EC2 gives me the power and control I need for cloud computing depending upon clients requirements and drafting architecture

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of Amazon EC2 is the ability to quickly launch and scale virtual servers on demand that is really helpful in time of instant demand from client side or load from any server. I can choose from a wide range of instance types and configurations, which makes it easy to optimize performance and cost for different workloads.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Its pricing complexity. While the service is powerful, understanding and estimating costs—especially with factors like instance types, storage, data transfer, and reserved pricing—can be confusing without careful monitoring

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Get the clear understanding of the workload which will help to choose the right instance type. Use cost management tools like AWS Cost Explorer and set up budgets or alerts to avoid unexpected charges.
