What differentiates Google Meet from other similar products?
- quite intuitive interface; the minimalist design reduces learning curve and allows participants to quickly join a meeting - the product is very reliable, designed for quick set up and easy to use for a wide audience
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Google Meet is browser based so users can join a meeting with ai single click from an invite without being forced to download a separate application or install any plug-in. So this is my favorite aspect as it is ideal for any ad-hoc meetings and users who are not tech savvy.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Function wise, it is not as attractive as Microsoft Teams. Teams has much deep integration with the M365 ecosystem, with a single space for chat, instant messages, calls and video meetings. Teams offers more advanced functionality and features than Google Meet.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
My recommendations to give someone considering this product is to do research about the features and functionalities for similar products beforehand. Each of these similar products has their own pros and cons. There are many similar products (eg Zooms, Teams) in the market so it depends on a user's needs to find a product best to suit their needs. Google Meet is ideal for those who do not require extensive set of advanced features and other robust tools for virtual meetings.
