What differentiates Snowflake from other similar products?

I believe I have found Snowflake better than others because of its zero-copy cloning, secure data sharing, finer data exchange, support for partially-structured data, and more.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I really like how I do not need to wait while running complex queries, get fast results, and load terabytes of data. The fact that it doesn't need to be re-engineered and smoothly supports our expanding analytics workloads. It also integrates well with our cloud ecosystem, and we can do analytics and ETL under a single platform.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Loading heavy JSON files can sometimes cause abnormal errors. We required careful planning to join data across accounts. Additionally, setting up role-based access control can be time-consuming.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

To get a secure, zero-copy environment for your testing transitions, use cloning tables or dbs in Snowflake. Also, I would recommend one to run heavy BI reporting queries on isolated warehouses so it won't downturn your ETL tasks.

I recommend monitoring usage carefully to avoid unexpected costs and to fully explore Snowflake’s features for the best value.
