What differentiates UKG Pro from other similar products?

Best of breed in HR and Payroll from legacy Ultimate Software paired with best of breed time and attendance from legacy Kronos leaves a powerful tool. The BI reporting is intuitive and robust. The customer community and learning tools are first class. Great support of the UKG team. Mobile app is easy to use for associate self service and the processes are easy to use for our Payroll and HR team members. Integrations have been developed for our benefits and RRSP matching vendors. System works well for even for a very complicated ownership structure and data structure like ours.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

intuitive user screens for all levels of users and technical ability.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Very minor: there is only one setting for system time outs across all user groups. Not able to differentiate between a power user in Payroll/HR versus a front line worker on how long the system can be inactive before timing out and locking.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Make sure your team is prepared prior to implementation and that your data is cleansed before implementing.

What differentiates UKG Pro from other similar products?

The mobile app is outstanding, and the ability for HRIS admins to maintain the application (security set-up, platform configuration, reporting, upgrades, RaaS-to-API integrations) without a team of developers is a game-changer for sure, as is the free training for the life of the product.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The mobile app! Many of our end users are mobile-first or mobile-only, so this is beneficial for our business.

What do you dislike most about this product?

WFM system management is still a little clunky, and goals management could use some simplification.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Be very clear on your end goals for both HR admins and your users. Communicate openly and frequently with your UKG Launch team, as they are there to ensure your success, and they are willing to share their immense skills and knowledge. Ask questions and keep an open mind! The Launch team is likely to show you an even better way to do things and make the system even more effective. The system is intuitive and easy to use, but I still recommend taking all the training you can in order to maximize the solution and make it work for you. The UKG Community is also a wealth of knowledge, in addition to being super supportive and eager to help.

What differentiates UKG Pro from other similar products?

Seamless data flow from HR to Payroll. There are no requirements to "commit" or batch data. Endless customization opportunities.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The steps to process payroll are streamlined and intuitive. The user interfaces are very user friendly compared to other products.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Date logic can be tricky to understand. Training is a bit high level at times. Customer support is hit or miss depending on the experience level of the assigned consultant, but I've learned how to communicate with the team and they're always pleasant.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Just do it. Understand this is not a service bureau, it is YOUR software. Discover best practices and then make the system custom to your company. It's easy to use and options to customize are endless.
